A key provision in the GOP budget set to be released today would eliminate fat raises not tired to performance of government bureaucrats and help to eliminate the most useless workers from the federal workforce.
The White House’s plan would slow down automatic tenure based raises for federal employees in addition to making it easier for the Office of Management and Budget to move government workers around as needed.
As reported by The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard:
The proposed changes are part of a broader effort to modernize the government and integrate the types of innovation that the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is drafting.
“This is a subject that essentially people have ignored,” a Trump official said of the move. “The American people elected a president that promised dramatic change.”
