Chronic Unemployment Worse Than Great Depression
June 6, 2011 |
I read a story the other day which gave me pause: that a number of employers are now placing a proviso on their job postings that they will not consider resumes from candidates who are not currently employed. While this is unfortunate, it is completely up to the discretion of the hiring company and manager to do just that (Insert call from lefty activists that this is terribly unfair and that we need legislation to FORCE employers to hire the unemployed). The question is: how did we get to this point? How did we get to the point that chronic unemployment is now gripping America? Simple. It is all down to the policies of this administration, and past of the last. As in most things, if there is a problem, you can trace it back directly to the actions of the federal, state or local government. An anti-business administration strikes fear into business, forcing them to hunker down and not hire. Why should they risk adding to their payroll costs if they don’t even know if they will be in business? The climate of fear which this administration is actively promoting is a direct cause of our economic issues. And they refuse to do what needs to be done in order to improve the economy.
