The Definitive Difference Between OWS And The Tea Party Movement

October 28, 2011   |

I have to be honest, I really haven’t been paying attention to the whole “occupy wall street” thing. As far as I’m concerned it’s just a bunch of kids who wish they we living in the 70s.
But the mainstream media has been paying plenty of attention. It seems that now that liberals have their own crazy movement, it’s safe to talk about the tea party movement in a less demeaning way. Kind of like, “We know we’re ridiculous, but so are you guys”.
What the media doesn’t seem to understand though, is that there is a huge difference between OWS and the tea party, and I’m not just talking politics. The tea party has a goal, lower taxes. Occupy however…well I couldn’t tell you. The protests have such a lack of leadership, it seems that no one has any clear goal in mind. And that’s what really scares me, as this could go on for a long, long, time.
