Occupy Violence

November 2, 2011   |

I love free speech.  I love the fact that I live in a country where even people with the most whacked out beliefs can get on TV and say whatever they want.  I love that I live in a country where freedom of expression isn’t just allowed, it’s encouraged.  Unfortunately, however, there are always those who want to take their right to protest just a little too far.  Enter the occupy movement.

Once again, this is just another reason why the occupy movement can not be compared to the tea party.  As much as there are plenty of occupy protesters who want to keep the “gatherings” peaceful, there are plenty more who are just looking for an opportunity to  start a riot.
Why is it that without leadership, not a single tea party protest has ended in violence, and yet it seems like all over the world the occupiers are getting more and more physically threatening?
Is there something fundamentally violent at the heart of the occupy ideology?  I think the answer is yes.
