Do libertarians believe in Christmas cookies?
December 15, 2011 |
I don't know if you people take time out of annoying others about Ron Paul to celebrate Christmas, or if you are the political equivalent of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The rest of us “normies” do celebrate Christmas, generally exclusive of Ron Paul. We decorate trees instead of blimps, and we eat a lot without worrying about whether or not foreign investment led to the raising and culling of Butterball turkeys.
Consider this outreach – because I care.
In exchange for 2 days (the 24th & 25th) of NOT hearing about how we deserved 9/11, I offer you my mother's chocolate chip cookie recipe. Whether you use locally-sourced, completely isolationist ingredients is totally up to you. Unlike you
, I don't judge. Much.
Leona's Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 cup butter, slightly softened
2/3 cup brown sugar
Stir it all up, make it creamy and fab. Then add:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
*dash* of cinnamon
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F while chilling cookie dough to make it easier to work with. Put 1″ balls of cookie dough on lightly greased cookie sheets (I use PAM cooking spray). Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool on pans for 10 minutes before moving to racks or down your gullet. Makes 24.
Enjoy. Fa la la, as we “normies” say!
