Reclaiming Your 2nd Amendment Right Continues To Get Easier
September 3, 2012 |
Interesting news coming out of Virginia (via Fox):
Virginia is issuing a rising number of concealed-carry gun permits to people who live in other states in a trend that may be helped along by online gun classes.
The commercial courses allow applicants to seek a permit from Virginia that is valid in their state, but without having to meet tougher requirements their home states may impose, such as firing a gun with an instructor.
What this means is that if you live in Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, N. Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah, or Wyoming, you may be eligible to apply for a CCW permit via online classes from Virginia. And while all of those states do have some sort of CCW law on their books, some of their requirements may be a bit onerous for the average citizen.
I always have – and always will – strongly advocate for law-abiding citizens to seek out professional training if they choose to carry a firearm. Ultimately, though, that decision should be yours to make on your own, not the government’s.
