Progressives Allow Freedom Of Agreement, Not Freedom Of Speech

Where's The Constitution?
Progressives Allow Freedom Of Agreement, Not Freedom Of Speech

Since the horrific shooting, progressives of all stripes are pretty much ready to repeal the second amendment and line up all NRA members to be shot – considering what we’ve heard on Twitter of late. This of course is a typical liberal thing – remember when Bush was in power and they screamed “Dissent Is Free Speech” (which it is) but of course now dissent is an affront to themselves and their glorious leader. So here is my modest proposal to all you liberals out there who agree with the concept of free speech, but only if the speech in question is in agreement with your principles. Why don’t we just modify the first amendment to remove that pesky phrase: (remember to all progressives the constitution is a “living” document – does that mean that it can be changed or simply ignored, I forget…)

Before:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

After:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of agreement, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

There you are! Now we are all free to AGREE with the lord and savior and his minions. God forbid we ever disagree, we’d be breaking the NEW first amendment. Not that they ever followed the Constitution anyways…
