Hypocrite, thy name is…

I don’t think anyone is thinking that what happened in Newtown, CT wasn’t a tragedy. (Or Newton as the almighty O called it). The fact these children will never have a chance to do anything is very sad. One of those children may have grown up to be the next Steve Jobs or Albert Einstein. We’ll just never know. And those teachers who bravely gave their lives and sacrificed their futures for those children was nothing short of heroic.

However as many Democrats have said before, never let a good crisis go to waste. So they aren’t. Immediately they started calling for legislation on gun control. And the biggest voice has been Dianne Feinstein from CA. Dating all the way back to 1995 when she said “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out-right ban, picking up every one of them… ‘Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ’em all in,’ I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here.” CBS-TV’s “60 Minutes”, February 5, 1995. Which is really funny because when you listen to this video from the Mark Levin show, it doesn’t sound like she’s in favor of gun control. http://www.westernjournalism.com/busted-mark-levin-exposes-dianne-feinstein-on-gun-control/

Perhaps she and others (looking at you Chuck Schumer) are only interested in making laws for OTHER people, not for themselves. Imagine that., a politician who says do as I say, not as I do?

Another hypocrite lately is Michael Bloomberg. The ultimate nanny is legislating everything from trans fats and sodium in food to the number of ounces in a soda you can purchase. I mean, does this mean believe that Americans can make any decisions for themselves or does the government have to do literally everything for them?

Recently there was a second, yes SECOND incident of someone pushing someone else in front of a moving train. In fact, there have been more instances of that than school shootings in the past month. But you don’t hear of people calling for bans on trains do you? But I digress.. The true hypocrite of Nanny Bloomberg comes out in this article.

He says that we all need to keep these 2 incidents in perspective of the relative safety of city. But a few gun crimes (albeit horrific and tragic) and we need gun control.

Chicago just had its 500th homicide of 2012, roughly 87% of which were committed with guns. And Chicago has one of, if not the strictest gun control laws in the nation. So let me get this straight: Chicago has strict gun control laws and has 435 of them committed by guns. Yet, we’re supposed to use gun control all around the country to reduce the gun violence? In what world does that make sense? Reduce gun violence of whom? Criminals? In what world has gun laws made criminals commit fewer crimes? All it will do is force law-abiding gun owners to be less safe and more susceptible to criminals.

Ok, gun control advocates. You’ve convinced me, I’m on board. First thing we do is remove the secret service detail from President Obama’s kids. Next, we remove it from the President. It’s called leading by example. but then, he wouldn’t know anything about that, would he?
