Jeff Zucker To Receive 'At Least $10 Million' From CNN Over Sudden Departure

Jeff Zucker, the man who presided over CNN's fake news empire after being paid between $30 and $40 million in 2010 to leave NBC Universal, will now receive 'tens of millions' in a settlement with WarnerMedia over his sudden departure last month.

According to Deadline, the enormous compensation package (hush money?) has been kept secret since Zucker agreed to the decision several weeks ago - and will be distributed in a 'one-time payment of around $10 million.'

What's more, Zucker reportedly waived any future rights to sue his former employer.

Zucker resigned from the network on Feb. 2 - with the publicly stated reason being that he failed to disclose his long-term relationship with former aide to Gov. Cuomo, Allison Gollust.

According to Politico, Zucker and Gollust's inappropriate workplace relationship may have come to light after Chris Cuomo's legal team brought it to light amid his own firing for inappropriate workplace behavior.

In his memo, Zucker said he was asked about his relationship during an investigation into Chris Cuomo’s conduct. Two sources with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly said that Cuomo’s legal team, which continues to negotiate his exit from the network, raised issues about the relationship between Zucker and Gollust. Cuomo’s legal team asserted that Zucker was hypocritical to suggest Cuomo had a personal conflict of interest when the relationship with Gollust represented a potential conflict as well. Puck News’ Matt Belloni reported that CNN recently also received a letter from Cuomo’s lawyers demanding preservation of communications between Zucker, Gollust, and Cuomo. -Politico

So why is Zucker getting $10 million again?
