REPORT: Rules Package For 118th Congress Delayed Until Monday

Following Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) victory as speaker in a high-stakes vote early on Saturday morning, the House will not vote on the rules governing the 118th Congress. Tom Emmer, the majority whip, said that Monday will be the day for the rules vote (R-MN). “Speaker McCarthy will administer the oath of office to all Members-elect and Delegates following the fifteenth ballot.
